About the SAACB

The South African Association for Clinical Biochemistry is dedicated to the promotion of Clinical Biochemistry and Chemical Pathology in Africa. The SAACB is affiliated to the IFCC. The membership of the association is open to scientists, technologists and medical personnel who have an interest in diagnostic clinical chemistry and chemical pathology. In addition, corporate membership is also available to any interested corporate bodies and companies. The Association provides a forum for intellectual and scientific interchange, is responsible for organising and contributing to the annual South African Pathology Congress and also makes available a number of educational awards to eligible individuals.

30th World Congress of Biomedical Laboratory Sciences 2012

30th World Congress

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to inform you that The 30th World Congress of Biomedical Laboratory Science is due to take place in Berlin, Germany from 18-22 August 2012.

It is our primary common goal to develop the profession of biomedical scientists and to emphasize our role in the health care system. The 30th World Congress is a global event and hosts a large number of biomedical scientists, researchers, laboratory workers and business executives from around the world to discuss and share the latest knowledge in biomedical laboratory science. Furthermore the congress will strengthen co-operation between relevant organizations and built networks between colleagues, scientists and friends during this scientific gathering.

The program will include scientific sessions and workshops as well as original oral and poster presentations which will cover a wide spectrum of topics in all disciplines related to Biomedical Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, Hematology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Pathology, Environmental Health and more.
